Question 1

What triggers a Google Ad Grants suspension?

Accepted Answer

Violations like low CTR, improper account structure, or policy breaches, such as linking to third-party platforms, can all trigger suspensions.

Question 2

How do I know if my Google Ad Grant account is suspended?

Accepted Answer

Google usually sends an email notification. You may also see a warning in the Google Ads dashboard, but actions will be restricted.

Question 3

Can I make changes in a suspended Google Ad Grant account?

Accepted Answer

No. Suspended accounts are locked. You’ll need to request reactivation before edits can be made.

Question 4

How can I request reactivation of a suspended Google Ad Grants account?

Accepted Answer

Use the official Google Ad Grants Reactivation Form to submit your request.

Question 5

What does the $0.01 spend limit mean after reactivation?

Accepted Answer

It’s a diagnostic mode. Your ads won’t run, but you can access the account and make updates before full reactivation.

Question 6

Why is sending traffic to a third-party payment processor disallowed?

Accepted Answer

If the page isn’t clearly branded or linked back to your nonprofit, it violates policy. Google must see that the page belongs to your organization. Always pre-approve 3rd-party websites!

Question 7

How long does it take for Google to review a reactivation request?

Accepted Answer

Typically 2–14 business days. Be patient and responsive in the support thread.

Question 8

Can repeated suspensions lead to permanent exclusion from Google Ad Grants?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Multiple violations can lead to long-term ineligibility. Staying compliant is essential.

Question 9

What steps should I take before submitting a reactivation request?

Accepted Answer

Audit your entire account, document every fix, and ensure your structure, keywords, and tracking align with policy.

Question 10

How do I prevent future suspensions of my Google Ad Grant account?
